Asalaam alaikum I’m Almaas.
I reverted to Islam over 20 yrs ago. My cultural heritage is Indian and my ancestry has shades of Islam.
I have been involved in new muslim groups for over 15 yrs and regularly give talks and reminders on the beauty of Islam. I also teach new Muslims and born Muslims how to read the Quran in Arabic.
When I’m not teaching Quran or supporting the convert community , my husband and I home school our four children , well only one now to teach as the rest have moved on to University ma Shaa Allah! (May God be pleased) My role at the new Muslim women’s group will be to deliver some of the talks and help to further your understanding of Islam in sha Allah (God willing)
Hello, I’m Zahra! I converted to Islam in 2011 alhamdulilah (all praise be to God)!
I was born and brought up in South Manchester, where I still live. I come from a predominantly Irish Catholic family. I currently work part time as a medical PA. I have very eclectic tastes, so my spare time is filled with activities from Qur’an classes to sewing classes!
Becoming a Muslim was a big life change and not without its struggles but I have been committed to learning and am enjoying my journey as a Muslim woman. My role here at the New Muslims Women’s Group will be to welcome you and help facilitate the talks and reminders insha’Allah (God willing).
